About/Bio

Weston Packard is based in Stone Mountain, GA (USA). He uses traditional and recycled materials to create a variety of works on paper and canvas.

His practice serves as a conduit for flows of energy, attention, and desire which are channeled into art that embraces playful simplicity, energetic abundance, and patient austerity - all permeated by an asemic openness encouraging each viewer to complete the work within themselves.

Drawings, individual and in series, mark off periods of time, standing as records of assimilative and resistive responses to material, social, and psychological circumstances.

He has more recently begun completing oil paintings, in which he slowly crystallizes forms seen in and refined from swiftly composed early layers.

Weston's work can be found at Empire Arts Gallery in the Kirkwood neighborhood of Atlanta, GA and at art markets and festivals around the Southeastern U.S.
